Family Fun Night on Wednesday was a tremendous success! A big thank-you goes out to our amazing PTO and all the volunteers who helped make the evening possible. We appreciate everyone who assisted with the Book Fair, organized activities, and supported the event throughout the night.

A special thanks to the Fisher family for creating the wonderful book-themed backdrop used on stage for our Mystery Readers—it added such a fun touch! We’re also grateful to Mr. Freedman for serving as our MC and keeping the evening lively.

Our Mystery Readers did a fantastic job entertaining students and families, and author Adam Perry closed the night perfectly with a reading from his book and a signing session. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a memorable event for our school community!

The event was truly a VIP experience, complete with a private entrance to the Book Fair, exclusive shopping time, and special VIP badges. At our last Mini Meet, we shared with students that, as a school community, we will be collecting cereal boxes to support the Hempfield Food Pantry. The pantry provides assistance to families within the Hempfield School District, and cereal is one of their most needed items.

All grade levels are currently collecting cereal boxes through Monday, November 10.

Thank you for your generosity and support in helping our Hempfield families!

K-12 Parent Teacher Conferences

New this year – elementary, middle, and high school parent-teacher conferences! The students’ Thanksgiving break is a little longer this year, now that parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Nov 24-25, 2025. Parents and guardians at all grade levels now have an opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher(s) to discuss academic progress.

We are still aiming for 100% participation at the elementary level. For our secondary schools, given the number of students our teachers teach, we will not have enough slots for all families. Please use this time if you have a genuine concern over your child’s progress. As always, we encourage you to email your child’s teacher throughout the year, whenever an issue arises.

Teachers will provide an email directly to you on Monday, Nov. 3, to schedule a time, should you choose to do so. Please note that you will receive one email per teacher for each of your children, so expect a few to appear in your inbox. If you have not received an email from a teacher you want to have a conference with by Tuesday, please reach out to them directly. Students will also bring a letter home on Monday with information about conferences. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child has a successful academic school year!
